On July 3, 2018, the Teaching and Research Center for Separation (TRC) was founded by Prof. Oliver J. Schmitz at the Universität Duisburg-Essen.
Agilent supports the TRC with state-of-the-art analytical systems, e.g. 2-D-LC, LC-qTOF-MS, online LC-QqQ-MS, GC-qTOF-MS, GC-QqQ-MS, LC-ICP-MS, ICP -OES, etc.
The task areas of the TRC will be research as well as student and professional further education. Thus, in addition to study-related internships, it also offers six five-day courses (for the time being held in German) in the fields of chromatography, mass spectrometry and spectroscopy. These paid courses are split into 1.5 days of lectures and exercises and 2 days of internships with the latest Agilent analytical systems. The courses are completed with a one-hour written examination on the fifth day.
